Hello! Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Cem Hurturk. I’m a self-made software engineer and serial entrepreneur. I’ve been writing code since I was in high school and working in the software industry since the early 1990s. Since then, I’ve continued to hone my experience and skills in creating software to optimize business potential, email marketing, and delivery.

My entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge in software creation have enabled me to establish over 20 successful businesses, some of which include: Octeth.com, Sendloop.com, 50saas.com, ReferralMagic.co, IPMonitor.app, Cleanify.io, and PreviewMyEmail (acquired).

The software businesses that I manage enable other worldwide organizations to operate more efficiently.

Building on my experience, my mission is to assist at least 1000 entrepreneurs yearly to build their in-house email marketing systems. I’ve created this website to showcase my professional career milestones, as a platform to share my thoughts, ideas, and future plans.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and I’m passionate and eager to learn more about nature. I’m continually aspiring to be a better person and to be grateful every day.

Society Calls You a Dilettante. I Call It Strategic Redundancy

For as long as I can remember, I've been told to focus on one thing. At 47, after launching more than 20 businesses since 1998, I finally realized the truth: my inability to specialize wasn't a weakness—it was my superpower. While specialists become fragile when their industry changes, I built redundancy. Multiple pillars of expertise that let me pivot, adapt, and survive when markets disappeared overnight. If you've spent your life jumping between interests and feeling guilty about it, stop apologizing. You're not a dilettante. You're building an M-shaped mind.

I Built a Multiplayer Game Yesterday. I Wrote Zero Code

Yesterday I built a multiplayer online Tetris game — live on the internet, real domain, real players. I wrote zero lines of code. My team of AI agents named it, built it, registered the domain, spun up the server, and deployed it in under two hours. I made coffee while it happened. The experience left me impressed, then uncomfortable. I'm getting lazier. I'm thinking less. And I'm not sure that's entirely a good thing.

2026: A Blank Page

It's January 1st, 2026, and I'm staring at a blank page again. I love this feeling. Most people fear starting over—they cling to what they've built, terrified of blank pages. But I've learned something different across my 47 years: the ability to start fresh isn't a curse, it's a superpower. And what's changed isn't my love for fresh starts—it's what I want to write on them. The old ambitions (money, status, achievement) are losing their grip, making room for intangible ones: quality time with family, mental resilience, physical strength, the luxury of staying calm and getting bored. These are the real wealth that only a few achieve. I still love running "format c:" on my life, just like I did on my old 80286 PC as a kid. 2026 is completely blank, and that's exactly how I want it. Here's to writing this year with more wisdom, more focus, more intention.
